100% LOCAL Business Referral Group in Hull

Run for the members, Not for profit – All surplus funds donated to LOCAL charities

Purpose:

The Business Community Co-operative (BCC) are a group of local business people whose members work together as a marketing co-operative. We actively help each other with new leads, opportunities, business support and mentoring.

The group exists solely for the benefit of its members and local good causes, we are not managed by any outside agency, nor do we have any affiliation with any other group or networking organisation. We are autonomous and self-regulating.

The group operates on a  non-profit basis –  ALL surplus finance generated by the group is donated to charity. Nobody receives any payment for running the group. So far we have given away in excess of £20,000 to local good causes.

Meetings:

We meet regularly on Thursday mornings at The Village Hotel: Henry Boot Way, Priory Way, Hull HU4 7DY – Meetings start promptly at 7AM

Our structured meeting format allows us to pass business leads, give testimonials and generally support each other’s businesses. Each week we have an education feature and/or a ten minute spotlight presentation on an individual members’ business. This is followed by face to face and one to one networking. The meeting finishes at 08:15 followed by breakfast – which is included in the meeting fee.

Fees:

From January 2017 Meeting fees for members and visitors are £13 per meeting – there are no other membership dues.
Surplus funds are donated to local charity organisations.

Trades

Despite being a member for just a few months, I've had a fair number of good sized jobs from the group. I have easily covered the cost of my membership for the next two or three years

Business to Business

Despite the early start, the great atmosphere and energised nature of the meetings kick-starts my Thursdays – I leave feeling upbeat and ready for the business day ahead.

Franchises

Although I’ve had plenty of business from group members, it’s not all about them; it’s about their own networks and the people they know outside the group. Friends, family, business contacts, they all get channelled to me via my BCC membership, helping me to grow my business significantly.
